These are subject to change:
Rules:
1) The three most important things to remember is that we are doing this for shenanigans, self-improvement, and fun. All events should revolve around these items.
2) Each person will chip in $60. The winner and Man of the Year will receive $360, 2nd place will get $150, 3rd will get their money back. The remainder will be used for expenses and put into next years’ pot if money is left over.
3) The MOTY will be decided by 6 events. You will receive a point for how you place in each event (1 point for 1st, 4 points for 4th, etc.). The person with the lowest amount of points at the end of all 6 events wins the MOTY.
4) The person who ends up in last place will be crowned Woman of the Year. They will have to wear a tiara at all of the 2009 events.
5) There will be three categories for events: Physical, Activities, Mental. There will be two events for each category .
6) Each person will submit two ideas on events we could do for each category (for a total of 6 events). After all of the ideas have been submitted, we will have a vote to decide which events we will do.
7) When coming up with ideas, try to think of events that would be fun, not cost too much money, would be manly, would be easy to determine 1st through last place finishers, and isn’t something that we normally would do. They should also abide by Rule #1. Here are some examples of activities for each category:
Physical:
Bench Press
400 meter run
Bags
5k Run
Homerun Hitting Competition (on a Kiddie Fence)
Activities:
Go-kart racing
Old-School Western Paintball Standoff (10 paces, turn and shoot)
Parallel Parking Competition
Road Rally (no asking for directions)
Pie-Eating Competition
Bar Games/Beer Olympics
Mental:
Take an IQ test
BBQ cook-off
Quiz Bowl
Texas Hold-em Tourney
8) We will split up the events over 2-3 days over the spring and summer, so we are not trying to cram everything in on one day.
9) Attendance is not mandatory, but if you do not show then you will be automatically in last place for those events that you missed.
